Mentmore Arts Festival 2024
The 14th Mentmore Arts Festival was held over the recent Bank Holiday weekend
25th-27th May.
Our wonderful artists once again surpassed themselves with the work available to
buy including painting, photography, jewellery, ceramics and textile art.
The chosen charities for this year were in attendance, with Gemma Gibbard, Sue
Burke and their colleagues from MK:Act manning a stall outside the church the
whole weekend giving visitors details of their sterling work, and Ben Horner from
Guide Dogs for the Blind with Felix talking to visitors around the Village Hall and
the church during Sunday afternoon.
Our refreshments tent was as popular as ever for lunches and teas in the garden
and we ran a successful raffle with great prizes.
We are delighted to announce that, as a result of an extremely successful
weekend, we are able to donate £7,500 to each of our charities and £3000 to St
Mary’s Church in Mentmore.
As many of you will already know, this is our last Arts Festival. We have supported
25 different charities over the course of the 14 festivals and will have donated over
£130,000 in total.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us over
the years by setting up the church and village hall, baking cakes , erecting
marquees, serving teas, coffees, Pimm’s and lunches and ,of course, the big tidy
up at the end. We couldn’t have done it without you all.
